Eksposure sangat penting bagi seorang fotografer yang ingin mahir dalam bidang fotografi. Ini adalah salah satu konsep dasar yang harus di pahami dengan baik untuk menghasilkan foto yang menakjubkan.

Untuk mengatur eksposur dengan benar, ada tiga elemen yang harus di perhatikan yaitu ISO, aperture, dan shutter speed. ISO mengontrol kepekaan sensor kamera terhadap cahaya. Aperture mengatur seberapa banyak cahaya yang masuk ke dalam kamera melalui lensa. Shutter speed menentukan berapa lama cahaya tersebut di izinkan masuk ke dalam kamera.
Pemahaman yang baik tentang ketiga elemen ini akan membantu fotografer dalam mengatur eksposur yang sesuai dengan kondisi cahaya. Sebagai contoh, jika sedang memotret di bawah sinar matahari yang terik. Fotografer dapat mengurangi ISO dan memperkecil aperture untuk menghindari foto yang overexposed.
Selain itu, eksposur juga dapat di atur untuk menciptakan efek tertentu pada foto. Misalnya, jika fotografer ingin menciptakan foto yang memiliki latar belakang buram (blur) namun subjek tetap terfokus. Shutter speed dapat di atur dengan lambat sehingga cahaya yang masuk ke dalam kamera akan lebih lama. Sehingga menciptakan efek blur pada latar belakang.
Ketika memotret dalam kondisi cahaya yang berbeda-beda, seperti dalam ruangan yang redup atau saat matahari terbenam, fotografer harus dapat mengatur eksposur secara cepat dan tepat untuk menghasilkan foto yang sesuai dengan keinginan. Inilah sebabnya mengapa pemahaman yang baik tentang eksposur sangatlah penting.
Pengaruh Eksposure
Selain itu, eksposur juga dapat mempengaruhi mood dan emosi yang dihasilkan oleh foto. Misalnya, foto yang terlalu terang dapat memberikan kesan cerah dan bahagia, sedangkan foto yang terlalu gelap dapat memberikan kesan misterius dan dramatis.
