Microsoft word atau biasa di sebut MS Word adalah program pengolahan kata yang di kembangkan oleh Microsoft. MS Word merupakan bagian Microsoft Office memiliki banyak fungsi. Mulai dari membuat dokumen berbentuk teks/tulisan, mengedit atau menyunting tulisan, menata fotmat tulisan sampai dengan mencetak teks/tulisan yang sudah dibuat.

Fitur-Fitur Microsoft Word

Berikut ini fitur-fiturnya.

  1. Title Bar
    Title bar berada apada bagian atas lembar kerja MS word. Fitur ini menampilkan nama atau judul file yang di kerjakan atau di buka. 
  2. Quick Access Toolbar
    Fitur ini berada pada bagian kiri atas, terdapat ikon-ikon yang berfungsi untuk memudahkan pengguna mengakses perintah seperti save, undo, redo dan sebagainya.
  3. Window Menu
    Fitur ini berada pada bagian kanan atas. Terdapat 3 ikon Yang pertama minimize berfungsi untuk membaca word ke latar belakang.
    Kedua fungsi restore down untuk merubah ukuran dari tampilan MS Word. Sedangkan yang ketiga close berfungsi untuk menutup layar kerja MS Word.
  4. Menu Bar
    Menu bar di gunakan untuk mengumpulkan menu yang fungsinya tidak sama, untuk melakukan pengaturan yang terdapat bagian-bagian lampiran.
  5. Tab Menu
    Tab Menu merupakan “wadah” dari ikon-ikon ribbon tool. Memiliki fungsi berbeda untuk menyesuaikan pengaturan dokumen.
  6. Ribbon Tool
    Semacam toolbar berisi ikon-ikon untuk mengerjakan berbagai hal dengan perintah tertentu.
  7. Scroll Bar
    Fungsi dari scroll bar adalah untuk menggeser layar kerja secara vertikal dan horizontal atau keatas dan kebawah. Letaknya ada di bagian kanan.
  8. Page Status
    Letak fitur ini terdapat pada bagian kiri bawah lembar kerja dan berfungsi untuk menampilkan bahasa yang sedang digunakan, jumlah kata, dan jumlah page atau halaman.
  9. Zoom Menu
    Fungsi menu satu ini adalah untuk memperbesar dan memperkecil tampilan layar kerja di MS Word. Letaknya berada di bagian kiri bawah.
